Winterfalle Biography
Winterfalle is the alt-folk brainchild of South London songwriter Sam Falle. Founded in the Island of Jersey, Sam's songs share contemporary folk tales about local life, history and culture. Winterfalle shows vary from solo performances to full ensemble sets featuring Sam Falle on vocals, acoustic guitar, and keys, Todd MacDonald on electric guitar and vocals, Dom Main on cello and vocals, Jack Chown on drums, and James Kerr on bass.
Winterfalle have a knack for turning folk lyricism about small places into anthems. Be it the stories of local seafarers in ‘Fisherman’s Friend’ or the inevitability of settling down in your 30's in ‘Ends The Same’, Sam shares intimate reflections on everyday life as life-affirming singalongs.
