Join us for a full day of entertainment, food and music from some of Southwest Florida’s favorite bands at the American Legion Post 254’s first annual Veterans Backyard Bash on March 30, 2024. The Veterans Backyard Bash event will take place at 11 a.m. and run into the evening hours on the grounds of the American Legion Post 254, 6648 Taneytown Street, in the North Port Estates. Tickets are $10 per person. Kids ages 16 and under are free. The event will feature performances by a variety of local bands: 11 am to 1 pm | Buckschotte Productions 1 pm to 2:30 pm | Clover’s Revenge 3 pm to 4:30 pm | Tidal Wave 5 pm to 6:30 pm | Jane Bond Band (Local Musician Erin Hoffer & Buckschotte Productions to Perform in Between Sets) 7 pm to 9 pm | Dukes of Brinkley’s Rock Anthem Show In addition to music, the American Legion Post 254 Color Guard will present the colors at 12 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem. There will be 50/50 raffles, and food and drinks available for sale on site. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. CASH PRIZE DRAWING To add to the excitement of the event, the American Legion is selling raffle tickets for $20 each and get you a single entrance into the event and the chance to win a $3,000 cash prize. The drawing will take place during the Veterans Backyard Bash. Tickets are on sale now at the American Legion. Visit the Post during business hours to purchase tickets.
