Liz Stringer

Liz Stringer is one of Australia's most admired & versatile songwriters & instrumentalists. A venerated guitarist & vocalist, her notoriously powerful live performances & melodically rich, story-based songs have earned her a unique place among the most important Australian songwriters of the modern era. Stringer's sixth studio album, 2021's First Time Really Feeling, recorded with Chris Stringer in Toronto Canada, won an Australian Independent Record Award for Best Blues & Roots Album and debuted at #14 on the ARIA charts. In 2023, Stringer was the Port Fairy Folk Festival's Artist of the Year and wrapped up a huge twelve months with three opening sets for the legendary Jackson Browne. In Summer 2023, Stringer recorded a seventh studio album, this time with producer/engineer Beni Giles at Iguana Studios in Brixton. Leaning further into her influences not yet explored in her recorded music, including soul, funk and jazz, this record marks a musical departure for Liz, while maintaining her extraordinary storytelling at the heart of each track. Liz will be playing some selections from this not yet released record plus songs from her storied back catalogue. With special guests TBC.
