Emily Henline Biography
It’s a somewhat familiar story — small-town girl falls in love with music at an early age and takes to the stage professionally by the tender age of 11. It is, however, the extraordinary talent that Emily Henline exudes when she sings that sets her miles apart from other young Nashville-bound singer-songwriters. Paired with a remarkable joy for life, very few artists of her age exhibit either the vocal range or the depth of knowledge of musical history manifested in one still so young.
Emily made her first appearances on a local TV show, Virginia Dreams Center Stage, and began to discover her distinctive artistry. Not as impressed with the popular acts of her time, Emily’s musical influences include Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, Patty Loveless, and other powerhouses from a time before her own, all of which came to contribute to her unique vocal style and helped build the strong musical foundation on which Emily now builds her own career.
In 2017, Emily left her small-town home of Waynesboro, Virginia and made the decision to move to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a career in music. In 2018, she signed an artist development deal with MirriM Entertainment and has kept a strenuous schedule of songwriting, building her catalog of original music and recording her first album. It is clear that she is most at home on stage, as she establishes her own way to inspire others and spread her unique brand of joy through her songs.
