Founded in Chicago in 2017, Bear Williams is all about The Blues! Bear is the former longtime bass player and musical director of the Platinum-Selling R&B Band, “Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly”. Bear spent many years working in the recording studios in Chicago & Los Angeles. In addition, he’s now bassist and a founding member of the hot new Soul/R&B Group, TMF “The Music Forever”. Bear has played on over 400 CDs and his body of work is recognized and admired the world over.

That night, the band stepped on stage to the deafening sound of cheers from the anxiously waiting crowd. The wait was over and fans were treated to a devastating set of original blues and classics courtesy of Bear Williams and The Bear Williams Band. His gorgeous baritone voice and fiery bass playing shook the rafters of the packed venue thrilling everyone within earshot to their very core. “It was mind blowing to me to see the miraculous effect that my music had on everyone“ says Williams. “I feel very fortunate and blessed to be able to write songs that positively impact people in this way and it doesn’t hurt to have a killer band and singers behind me either.“
The impeccable musicianship on stage that night cannot be overstated. The weeping Lead Guitar of Chris “Chili” Winters, the explosive Drumming of Chuck Lacy, The outstanding rhythm guitar work of Bill Brickey, the heartfelt keyboard stylings of Alton Smith, and the amazing background vocals of the “Bearettes” all combined to make this night at Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago a cut above and truly one to remember.
