Kom naar een intieme avond van liederen en verhalen met Canadese singer-songwriter Kyle Church bij Meer dan BeverWAARD (speeltuin de Stormpolder, Valkenburgsingel 81, Rotterdam. Toegang is met vrijwillige bijdrage. De deur gaat open om 19:00 uur, de muziek begint om 19:30 uur. Parkeren kan niet direct op locatie, maar op Tongelaarweg of Deurnesingel (2-4 minuten lopen). "As my act of resistance… I’ll plant a garden” ("Als mijn daad van verzet.... plant ik een tuin"), zingt Kyle Church op de titeltrack van zijn nieuwe album "Plant a Garden", dat vorig jaar uitkwam.Te midden van een wereld die op zoveel manieren chaotisch lijkt, onderzoekt Plant a Garden het idee dat in plaats van zorgen maken over de dingen die buiten onze controle vallen.... we misschien het beste kunnen bijdragen aan deze wereld door simpelweg te zorgen voor het smalle stukje onder onze voeten; door bloemen te planten, een tuin te verzorgen en zorg te dragen voor onze buurt. Het lied stelt het idee voor: "when there’s chaos around us, we should care from the ground up, and keep growing beautiful things” ("als er alleen chaos om ons heen is, moeten we er vanaf de grond voor zorgen en mooie dingen blijven laten groeien").
