About this concert
Indianapolis’ own LITTRELL is excited to announce an epic hometown performance at the White Rabbit Cabaret happening on May, 23rd, 2024. Support acts include Sophie DeFrench, Kristina Sharpe, and DJ Stylistic. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $24. 21 and over only. Dark and ethereal, LITTRELL’s brand of dark pop/alt rock/trip hop is the most arresting and original music you’re likely to find this year or any other. Their songs offer an experience that’s hypnotic and deeply meaningful. The White Rabbit show will feature a five-piece lineup consisting of Lindsay Littrell on vocals, Garrett Langebartels on lead guitar, Scotch Swango (of November Swim Club) on second guitar, Steve Bradley (of Kingflower) on drums, and Liz Legge (of gliiitches) on bass. Early indications predict a night of beyond-epic original music with the power to move every soul in the room. Opening for LITTRELL will be high-value singer-songwriters Sophie DeFrench and Kristina Sharpe, who will both be performing with full bands. DJ Stylistic will kick off the evening and be spinning between sets. Every savvy music fan in Indianapolis will be there, too, officially making this a night to remember. Littrell Biography

LITTRELL (Lindsay Littrell and Garrett Langebartels, plus band when live) is currently in the studio working on their debut album, Public Love. They are releasing their first single, Cycle, on September 21.

Some of the feedback describing LITTRELL includes “eclectic and soulful with a rock edge and heavy on the ethereal,” “orchestral,” “dramatic but soothing,” “a slow burn gothic novel,” “smoldering,” “dark, edgy, stunning,” “singular, unique,” “brilliant,” “intimate, beautiful,” “evocative,” “heavy modern vibes but in the coolest way,” “just a mood… right from when it starts, you're just in the world, in the universe, in the mood,” “like a wave that crashes over you but you know you're okay," “surprising vocals – deep and wise and rich,” “you can tell there's a lot of knowledge in these notes,” “complex,” “a serious listen,” “f*** yeah,” “very dark and moody – you definitely have a sound,” "singular," and, most frequently, “cinematic.”

Accompanied with recognition of LITTRELL's singularity, as the band did not seek out to "sound like...", rather "to pull out our guts and see what they are,”those same listeners have suggested a kinship in their sound with Radiohead, My Brightest Diamond, Lykke Li, The Weekend, Kate Bush, St. Vincent, U2, Sade, Portishead, The Cure, Florence + The Machine, Mitski, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, The Cocteau Twins, and Massive Attack.

LITTRELL certainly bows to the named and unnamed deep and wide range of music and of life that has shaped, nurtured and nourished them while proudly offering this in-progress record as story and sound coming straight from their core.

“We hope it reaches yours.”

LITTRELL's sound is blend of vulnerability and power. So too is the story, and the feelings they evoke together.

Lindsay, the songwriter behind Public Love, says that the record “traces the journey of my relationship with myself through the mirror of my love life." The title, they add, "is part nod to Cornel West’s definition of love (and to bell hooks, of course), part flirtatious wink, and part acknowledgment of how public my experiences with love and heartbreak have been over course of my entire life." As has been echoed in listener feedback, it is indeed an intense journey, "one that I'm ready to own and to share and invite others into and I am so grateful to get to do this with Garrett."
