June Holland Biography
June Holland is a self-taught singer/songwriter from a small town in the North West, UK.
June was brought up on a mixture of genres including Rock, Motown, Disco and Northern Soul. She was strongly influenced by Stevie Wonder before discovering Jazz & Blues where she was drawn to singers like Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald. She later began listening to Indie music, particularly bands such as Arctic Monkeys.
June loved to sing from a young age and picked up the guitar at 16 when she began to write her own music. She writes fuelled by emotion and tries to tap into real life situations experienced both by herself and others around her to create music that people will relate to.
With an Indie/Folk-Pop style the singer/songwriter has been likened to KT Tunstall, Sandi Thom and Florence Welch.
June released her debut single “The One” in June 2023 before following up with a further two tracks “Family” and “What I Told My Boss” all of which she recorded and produced herself.
Her latest single “Easy Life” released 26.01.2024, is a fierce, Indie Pop anthem for people to sing or scream along to when they feel that life just isn’t going their way!
Whether it be a bad Monday morning where your toast has fallen butter side down or for those who feel life is just kicking them whilst they’re already below the basement.
