Rebels in Stereo

Rebels in Stereo is a Chicago-based rock band with punk & melodic power metal influences. Formed in 2014 when Jimmy Natividad & Kristyne Operzedek (Warhellride) were ready to start something new, Kristyne’s unique background lent itself to intuitive and exciting rhythms for the outfit and, paired with Jimmy’s technical-but-playful lead guitar, paved the way for a varied but deliciously identifiable sound. The band released their debut full-length album “Rebuild” in 2018.

Cassidy Paige (Run & Punch) dove into the mix headfirst in 2019. Her ambitious melodies, ear for harmonic opportunity, and willingness to try anything once have added texture, vibrant overtones, and occasional silliness to the band's sound.

Sharing a newfound drive to write inclusively and buoyantly, the group threw themselves a year-long basement party; the result of which ultimately led to the 2019 release of their 5-track EP “Look Ma, No Hands!” - featured on 101.1 WKQX, Demo 312 with James VanOsdol & The Power Pop Shoppe PodCast and ranked #15 by Banks Music Promotion, Banks Radio Australia, & VALLEY FM 89.5. Building momentum, the group was stoked to open for DollSkin on their national tour’s Chicago date just before the world shut down in March of 2020.

With a 2 year mandatory hibernation from existence, the band buckled down, wrote a bunch of new material, and were pleased to introduce the bass skills of Wayne “The Deuce” Pombert II (Lucky Falls) in early 2022. Predominantly a drummer, Wayne adds unmistakably rhythmic-minded and driven lines on bass.

Rebels in Stereo's recent release of their second EP, “CoVault” in December of 2022, has given listeners a wider exploration of subject content and sound alike! Their newest single, "Lace of Steel" - featured on 95.1 WIILROCK, 4:20 Hit of the Day with Don Wilson, has ignited their excitement to release their second full-length album in February 2024. And in May 2023, Rebels in Stereo's newest music video, "Lace of Steel", hit the internet with a frenzy because of its stylistic creativity and unique concept, making fans thirsty for more!

After the release of Rebel's in Stereo's 2nd full-length album, "Smear Campaign" in February 2024, they were graced by power metal/alternative pop-punk guitarist Ben Zohar (of Ruse). Ben's unique lead styles and rhythm harmonics, bring a never heard of sound to the RIS line-up! With a ton of new material & projects in the works, Rebel's in Stereo is exploding at the seams with excitement to share what's to come with you all! So stay tuned, ya dirty rockas!
