Chandler Biography
Chandler is a rapper best known for his viral hit “FIGURE IT OUT”, a collaboration with critically-acclaimed producer Stafford Beats and Australian “Nike Ticks” rapper, YNG Martyr — though his story goes much farther back.
Chandler has been rapping since 2005, where it all started in Newport News, Virginia & the 757 area code – home to legends like Missy Elliott, Pharrell Williams, & many more. By 2012, at sixteen years old, Chandler was releasing music publicly & playing stages across Virginia. Over the following six years, Chandler would join multiple bands as either a vocalist or drummer – one of which toured the States – sharing bills with the likes of DRAM, Dirty Heads, The Knocks, Biz Markie, & others.
In 2018, after graduating from Richmond’s Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts with a BFA in theatrical performance, he took a public break from music to focus on his acting career & relocated to New York City. After signing with SW Artists & appearing in stage productions Off-Off Broadway through early 2020, COVID-19 acted as a reason for Chandler to make a public return to music. So, he did to great success.
Now, with a digital platform that organically reaches millions of accounts monthly, Chandler’s presence has been described as “inescapable”. With songs like “Hot Pocket” with Matty Beats & “DOUBLE GOOSE” with Fellaair, his wordplay, unique approach to delivery, & outlandish persona has proved to resonate with the masses time & time again.
