Decline CZ

The Czech band DECLINE originated in Prague in the early 1990s. Their music was influenced by the gothic scene of the 1980s, but they quickly gained club popularity with their unique interpretations of songs by The Cure and later Depeche Mode. Around the year 2000, Decline briefly broke into the pop mainstream with two Czech albums, but as they felt it wasn’t entirely ‘their thing’, their pop career did not last long. After a period of inactivity, singer Luděk Fiala revived the band in 2016 and released the EP "Reborn". This hinted at a new direction in their music, featuring darker, English-sung songs accompanied by a more assertive electronic sound enriched with hi-gain guitars. The band began operating again with original members, and in 2024 confirmed their path with a new album called "Circle of Dust", a carefully crafted mosaic of acquired musical experiences in both guitar and electronic genres.
