Lord of Horns Biography
Hailing from various New York area based underground acts, Lord of Horns ventures out on his own with what is truly his first solo project. While most notably recognized as the main creative force behind Acryptylyse and Dark Reverence, he has also lent his bass skills to the likes of Exinfernum and Succumbed.
While many of these acts incorporated, either solely or in part, elements of industrial, goth, dark wave, hard rock, and Black Metal does give credit to his versatility and expertise, nothing quelled the longing to subject the world to his unadulterated musical concepts.
Now, unshackled from compromises, Lord of Horns is free to create the music he feels most impassioned about and seeks to claim a throne on the highest tier among Black Metal legends of the late 80’s and early 90’s.
With the “Few Ever Survive the Night…” demo released in May of 2022, Lord of Horns debuts his dark creations as intended and sets the expectations of future releases. Grinding guitars and crunching basslines are accentuated by ambient and often majestic keyboards shaping moods of ominous omens and drastic dread; all the while, pounding drums build and maintain the torrents of suspense. Somber occasions of calming melodies juxtapose and reaffirms the grim harshness of the encompassing compositions.
Influenced by horror, dark fantasy, folklore, and Norse Paganism, Lord of Horns aims to craft soundscapes that implant the listener into the scenes of the lyrics. Displaying his prowess, bass solos are shockingly interjected adding another dimension of trepidation to an already unsettling experience.
