Maya Killtron Biography
Maya Killtron, Canada's dynamic Queen of Boogie, is a powerhouse multi-talent celebrated for her vibrant RnB NuDisco Boogie and 80’s funk. Her breakout album, "Never Dance Alone" (2019), catapulted her into the international Boogie scene, followed by the highly anticipated "Persimmon" in 2022. Singles from the albums secured spots in top playlists and CBC's 2023 Searchlight competition.
Beyond her solo success, Maya is a sought-after collaborator, contributing as a songwriter, producer, arranger, and touring violinist/vocalist. Her influence extends to founding Bowed Arts, a Quartet performance collective and school for strings focused on accessibility and equity.
In 2023 Maya headlined the Toronto Jazz Festival, Battle 416 at Yonge and Dundas Square, and toured internationally at Tallinn Music Week (Estonia) and Viva Sounds (Sweden). Now, she's gearing up for the release of her next album, "Toronja," promising another chapter in her remarkable musical journey.
