Formed in 2014 by Grammy winner and longtime bassist for They Might Be Giants, Danny Weinkauf and his Red Pants Band include Danny with Tina Kenny Jones on bass and vocals and Steve Plesnarski on drums and vocals. They have released 3 critically acclaimed and multi-award winning albums NO SCHOOL TODAY, RED PANTS BAND, TOTALLY OSOME!, and 7 singles.
Awards include Grammy, Parents' Choice, NAPPA, Family Choice, and International Songwriting Contest Winner.
Perfomances include the radio hits "Champion of the Spelling Bee", "The Moon is Made of Cheese", Our Love Fits", Cast My Vote", "Only One You", "Picky Eaters", "My Magic Helicopter", "I'm a Girl (Step aside)", "Put Down that Smartphone", "Sunny Sun Sunshine Day", and Danny's songs penned for TMBG "I Am a Paleontologist", "Elephants", "Number Two", and "Where Do they Make Balloons?".
