About this concert
A musical journey into the heart of glass in its myriad manifestations
We’re excited and honoured to announce that Dan Whitehouse is coming back to the Settle Stories stage for one night only.
Dan graced us with his performance for YFOS 2021 and we can’t wait to see his new show ‘A Night of Glass,’ where his emotive storytelling and crystalline vocals take centre stage, guiding audiences through the multifaceted nature of glass.
With hints of Bowie and Cohen, his performances promise an unforgettable fusion of artistry and emotion. Don’t miss this hypnotic live experience, where each song becomes a mirror reflecting the complexities of the human experience.
From exploring the impact of technology on communication to commemorating the rich history of glassmaking in Stourbridge, Whitehouse’s music delves deep into the soul.
Step into the transformative world of ‘A Night of Glass’ and witness music’s power to illuminate the depths of the heart.

“Wonderful production and writing” — Tom Robinson BBC 6 Music
“Subtle and delicate melodies” — The Sunday Times
Acclaimed Black Country singer-songwriter Dan Whitehouse has gained a reputation as “a fine songwriter, a unique vocal talent and a talented multi-instrumentalist/performer” (MAVERICK) across five solo albums including 2020 release Dreamland Tomorrow.
2022 the International Year of Glass - Dan is focusing on two album releases, serendipitously glass related (at opposite ends of the spectrum).
The Glass Age - songs which look at how our human experience and ways of connecting have changed through the ‘glass’, the screens, of virtual meetings and communication.
‘Voices From The Cones’ - an Arts Council funded Midlands-centric song-cycle which tells the stories of the community of glassworkers of the Stourbridge glass factory which closed in 1992. An important part of our industrial and social history.
