Bradley D. Scott Biography
Originally born near Ottawa, ON, Bradley first started teaching himself how to play guitar at age seven and began performing publicly at eleven years old. He quickly became an in demand sideman and session player throughout his teens and twenties, performing and touring with artists such as Charlie McCoy, Ali McCormick, Liv Charette, Tara Shannon, Old Whiskey Road, The Brad Lynch Band and many more. Most recently, Brad has done band leader work for Craig Moritz, Brea Lawrenson, Deric Ruttan and Paulette Carlson.
Whether singing harmonies, playing fiddle, mandolin, banjo or electric/acoustic guitar as a sideman or playing his own brand of roots and bluegrass infused original acoustic music, Bradley’s one true home is the stage. In 2022 Bradley was nominated for Country Music Alberta's Musician of the Year Award.
Bradley released his first solo album in 2017 entitled New Frontier and organized a regional tour of Ontario and Quebec to support it. During 2022 and 2023, Bradley toured with Craig Moritz, performing all over western Canada, the United States and Mexico before turning his attention back to his solo work in the latter half of 2023.
Having called Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia ‘home base’ in the past, Brad has finally settled in Nova Scotia. His new record, entitled Building a Better Machine, will be hitting the shelves and streaming platforms in 2024.
'One to watch: Brad Scott is a rare triple-threat performer, excelling as a vocalist, instrumentalist and songwriter.' - Chris Riendeau, The Humm
