Explore the depths of Americana "one trippy tune at a time" this June in the UK with New York’s Slambovian Circus of Dreams. Voted "Best Band" for their rootsy rockin' psychedelica by NY’s Chronogram Magazine, the deep connection with audiences and exciting live shows are legendary.
The Slambovians’ tour history in the UK goes back to 2008, playing towns and festivals from Lochinvar to Penzance, so they look forward to this tour where once again they bring good will, songs and a bit of magic to new audiences as well as faithful fans. In 2022 they headlined Fairport's Cropredy Festival, Wickham Festival and several other venues where they were voted “Best Band” by fans and promoters alike. Consummate entertainers, lead singer Joziah Longo charms with vocals described as "soothing and bewitching as a snake oil tonic.” Longtime bandmates Tink Lloyd (accordion, cello, mandolin, flute) and guitarist/mandolin wizard Sharkey McEwen bring their own magic to the Slambovian brew with “a little help from their friends” - RJ McCarty (bass, keys, banjo, sax) and Matthew Abourezk (drums) who have been touring with the band since their UK tour in 2019.
Dylan, Bowie, Incredible String Band, Syd Barrett and The Waterboys may flavor the musical mix, but the Slambovians' musicianship and songwriting stand on its own. Woodstock-tinged psychedelia, a hint of southern rock, British folk and solid songwriting amp up this version of Americana - a slice of Americana pie that is irresistible.

A rootsy rockin' psychedelica, the Slambovian Circus of Dreams have been expanding the borders of the Americana genre with fantastic stories and performances since the late 90’s in Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Voted "Best Band of 2022" in their home state of New York by Chronogram Magazine, the Slambovians' connection with audiences taps into a greater human-ness. Charismatic frontman, Joziah Longo presides center-ring with vocals "Soothing and bewitching as a snake oil tonic", joined onstage by founding bandmates Tink Lloyd (accordion, cello, mandolin, flute) and the guitar-slinging skills of Sharkey McEwen, creating a show that constantly evolves "with a little help from their friends". Touring bandmates also include RJ McCarty (bass, keys, sax), Bob Torsello (bass), and Matthew Abourezk (drums).
Exploring the depths of Americana one trippy tune at a time, elements of Dylan, Bowie, Incredible String Band, Syd Barrett and The Waterboys flavor the musical mix. (Waterboys co-founder Anthony Thistlethwaite is featured on A Very Unusual Head). Woodstock-tinged psychedelia, a hint of southern rock and solid songwriting elevates this version of Americana to new heights.
