About this concert
Chris Ruggiero has been touring the country at a dizzying pace, taking his audiences on a musical journey through the golden age of rock and roll, but on April 28 it will be Chris Ruggiero’s first time in Pittsfield, MA. His PBS-TV appearances, feature on Good Morning America and hit albums have brought an even bigger audience, selling out shows all over the country on his recent 37 city tour! In his new show, Teenage Dreams and Magic Moments, Chris tells his incredible story by breathing new life into the timeless music of the 50s, 60s & 70s with a live band. If you remember songs like “Unchained Melody,” “My Cherie Amour,” “You Can’t Hurry Love” and “This Magic Moment,” you’ll relish an evening spent with Chris. His unique interpretations of those and more are not only vocal triumphs, they feature brand new orchestrations by Four Seasons arranger and pop-rock legend Charlie Calello, who is also a fan, commenting, “It’s been a long time since I heard a voice like this.” Chris has also collaborated with legendary pop stars such as Darlene Love, The Cyrkle and Peter Noone. This show will mark Chris’s first time ever in Massachusetts. Chances are you’ll know every word to every song and the magical feeling will live on long after Chris leaves the stage. “Songs you know and love from a voice you’ll never forget.” -BroadwayWorld “Chris is what I call ‘the ultimate entertainer.’ I love his voice!” -Darlene Love “Chris is so good at making the classics his own. I went to his show and loved every minute.” -Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers

Chris is super talented, funny and so personable. Meet him when he was a young teen and was amazed at how incredibly talented he was, and the range of old songs that he knew. I called him My Old Soul. His performance in Tom’s River did not disappoint. The crowd was on their feet. He’s That Good!!!

Chris Ruggiero Biography

Chris Ruggiero takes his audiences on a journey through the golden age of rock and roll, breathing new life into the timeless music of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Chris has been described as an “old soul” at 24 years old, whose approach to his concert appearances is more in line with that of a bygone era than it is the artists of his generation.

Chris first came to national attention when he performed in concert on one of PBS-TV’s coast-to-coast broadcast specials, which still airs to this day. Since then, Chris has been traveling around the country delivering his unique brand of vintage rock and roll, including sold out shows in Las Vegas, Cleveland, Florida and New York.

Chris has released 5 albums including “I Am Chris Ruggiero” which features original arrangements from legendary arranger Charlie Calello on timeless classics such as “Wouldn’t it Be Nice,” “My Cherie Amour,” “The More I See You” and “This Magic Moment.” Calello has had over 100 national records as an arranger and producer, having worked with Frankie Valli, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond and Glen Campbell, to name a few. Chris says, “Charlie is the epitome of musical genius.” Having completed the project, it appears the admiration is now mutual. Calello commented, “It’s been a long time since I heard a voice like this. Chris doesn’t chase the music. He brings the music to him and he does it without vocal tricks. That’s rare today.”

His album, “Quiet Nights,” features only his voice and the masterful pianist Chris Tamburr re-imagining pop-rock classics like "Up on the Roof" and "The Long and Winding Road." Christmas of 2022 was a high point as Chris released his first Christmas album, including a duet with Darlene Love that landed him on the Adult Contemporary charts, on Good Morning America and with features in Rolling Stone and Forbes.

“When I’m on stage singing a classic love song and I look out into the audience and see that twinkle in their eyes, I know they’re thinking about a special time and place in their life - or maybe their first kiss!” Chris says. “It’s magic.“ For Chris, entertaining is not a vocation, it’s a way of life.
