Rubie Biography

Rubie is a songstress, multi-instrumentalist and profound storyteller. Centering her hyper-expressive vocal, piano playing and distinctive textural production style, she brings classic songwriting forms into contemporary context, leading a rallying call for queer siblinghood in the face of political struggle and uncertainty. A member of queer singing collective F*/Choir, her music and politics are informed by our need for each other as marginalised people, bringing voice to a perspective pushed underground by transphobic rhetoric.
