About this concert
EARLY BIRD TICKETS TILL 15 MAY 2024 “They had only been on stage for mere minutes and already my face was aching from the sustained grin. These strangers who weren’t actually Rush made me feel as though I was finally attending a legitimate Rush concert. The accuracy with which they all play while still maintaining a lighthearted approach to their performance is, well, it’s exactly as you’d expect from Rush themselves.” MARK REID, ROCKFIEND, GARAGE GLASGOW, 17 AUG 2023 Kicking off 2023 with a sell-out show in Aberdeen followed by more sellouts in London – including a guest appearance by Planet Rock DJ Darren Redick on bass for FAR CRY – then being invited by Nancy Peart to play at the *Neil Peart Pavilion in Lakeside Park, St. Catharine’s Ontario Canada – 2023 was the best yet for RUSH tribute band MOVING PICTURES. 2024 is taking them to the next level with over 70 shows booked, including RUSH fan conventions in UK, Europe and Brazil, 2 tours of Europe, 1 trip to Ireland and a rake of UK O2 Academy shows. “Moving Pictures – they’re really really good. I give them a double Redick thumbs-up.” — Darren Redick – Planet Rock Radio. On seeing the Moving Pictures video for their arrangement of Afterimage Alex Lifeson (Rush guitarist) wrote – “Very moving and beautifully done. Heartfelt thanks to the band for their kind tribute.” “To emulate 3 of the highest musical calibre artists, with such gusto, was seriously impressive.” “First time but won’t be the last, great show and fantastic musicianship!” MOVING PICTURES – RUSH TRIBUTE play for over two hours covering all the classics such as Tom Sawyer, The Spirit of Radio and Xanadu (with doubleneck guitars) plus some deeper cuts such as By Tor and later belters such as Far Cry and Headlong Flight. Full album shows are now included and more seated theatres are being booked. Drummer Jamie Dunleavey — this young lady from St Andrews is scarily on point, her drum solos bring the house down – loved by Neil Peart’s sisters and mum. It takes a unique set of skills to sing AND play bass AND play keys like Geddy Lee — Eoin de Paor is incredibly accurate. Guitarist Steve Brown is a lifelong Rush fan and pro player with way too many guitars and wicked sense of humour — not unlike a certain Mr Lifeson. MOVING PICTURES are regularly on the bill at Rush fan conventions.

It’s the second time I have seen them and will again next time they are in Cambridge. Such a great band with a hard act to follow and they’ve cracked it.
