De band uit Bern, Zwitserland staat bekend om hun mix van breakdown-heavy metalcore, post-grunge en nu-metal. Na hun oprichting in 2007 door gitarist en songwriteer Oliver Stingel (Patanoia) en zanger Carlo Knöpfel (Nerph) bracht de band twee jaar later zelfstandig hun debut album “The Last Sunset” uit, wat later opgevolgd werd door “[MIRRORS]” in 2011, “Perception” in 2013 en “Coexistence” in 2016. In de afgelopen jaren is het wat stiller geweest rondom de band, met de uitzondering van een aantal losse singles. Ook keert de band eindelijk weer terug naar het podium: naast de Impericon Festival shows komt Breakdown of Sanity dan ook naar Eindhoven voor een headline show!

Sugar Spine Biography
Relentless, passionate & intensely heavy; these are a few words to describe Sugar Spine, an up and coming metallic hardcore band based in the Netherlands. Sugar Spine employs an aggressive mix of hardcore, metalcore and deathcore.
The group sounds similar to bands like Stick To Your Guns, Your Demise (2004), and Stray From The Path. The music moves confidently between brooding clean sequences, ferocious two stepping and slamming breakdowns that assault the listener without warning.
Sugar Spine originally started as a solo project in 2021 by vocalist Josh Muncke, with the first single Go Outside being written and produced in a 2-week hotel quarantine in Sydney, Australia. In March 2023, the project officially became a group of four, ready to hit the stage and unleash their unique metalcore energy.
