About this concert
NH Music Collective presents Ian Archibold & Ian Galipeau live on July 7th up in the Cantin Room at the BNH Stage! Originally from Panama, Ian Archibold now performs around New England playing a diverse mix of songs ranging from classics like the Beatles and Springsteen to modern favorites like John Mayer, Bruno Mars, and Coldplay. He is also a songwriter, and includes songs from his EP “Parallel” in his set when appropriate. YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/user/archians Ian Galipeau is an indie-rock songwriter for hopeful cynics. He weaves empathetic storytelling and careful wordplay into thought-provoking, nuanced songs that fit loosely under “indie rock”, but with strands of Americana to keep you on your toes. His evocative voice and attention to songcraft have drawn comparisons to Hozier and Ben Harper. He has been playing throughout New England since 2010, sharing stages with touring acts including Arc Iris and Dietrich Strauss. The last two years have been his busiest ever - in addition to playing 100+ shows, he's released an album, an EP, and a handful of singles. Ian Galipeau Biography

Ian Galipeau is a singer-songwriter who dwells on his craft to a (borderline) obsessive degree. His musical tastes are full of contradictions; he consumes the melancholy poetry of Leonard Cohen and the absurdist pop rock of Barenaked Ladies with equal reverence. You can hear those contradictions play out in the course of his set - sometimes he sings in nostalgic autobiography; other times, he writes from the perspective of a character in a Ray Bradbury story; occasionally there's a song about having writer's block. He steps between genres without losing his voice, applying his guitar and baritone to compositions that range from folk tunes to jazzy ballads, sarcastic rock songs to swelling indie-rock anthems. Every song is an exercise in carefully-constructed inspiration.

Ian is based in Keene, NH. He’s been performing across New England since 2010, and has shared the stage with regional acts including Arc Iris, Dietrich Strauss, and Ian Fitzgerald. He released his first album This Cluttered Mind of Mind in 2012, as well as two sister-EPs, titled Raze/Raise, in March of 2018. He is currently working on a new album, with plans to release in summer 2022.
