Founded in early 2022 this all-star collective of musicians presents unique interpretations of classic Caribbean musical stylings like roots reggae, dancehall, and traditional island culture music fused with contemporary jazz, pop and soul.
Polyrhythmic Roots' approach to Caribbean melodies and polyrhythms combined with jazz improvisation, sets a beautiful Caribbean vibe, inspires and engages listeners, and also moves the dancers to dance. This ensemble aims to strengthen the Milwaukee music scene by keeping the rich traditions of Caribbean Roots/Reggae music in Milwaukee alive for all to enjoy.
