Dippers Biography
Dippers (Naarm / Melbourne AUS) has been performing under the moniker Thigh Master since 2012. The name change to Dippers indicates a new era for the group, with new EP 'Looking for a Sphere' out now, and their upcoming third LP 'Clastic Rock' due to be released mid '23 through Goner Records.
The new material, produced and recorded by songwriter Matthew Ford and long term collaborator Innez Tulloch, sees Dippers expand the sonic dimensions of their sound. Guitar-pop classics but add in an array of sounds and textures not instantly related to the genre. Ford's lyricism and vocal delivery also takes a step up, extending on experiences of neurodivergence and sci-fi imagery.
Dippers have toured extensively throughout the US, Europe, Japan & Australia, including sold-out shows in cities such as Tokyo, Memphis & Brisbane. They’ve received frequent heavy rotation and chart toppings on radio stations worldwide as well as critical acclaim by publications such as The Guardian, Rolling Stone & The Wire.
TLDR; FFO of indie rock with immediate hooks and charm to boot.
