About this concert
HEADSPLIT rounds out with tracks like “24” (featuring Alexis Munroe), chronicling an internal battle with how people perceive you and how you perceive yourself as you grow older and leave the past behind. “Women especially are not afforded the same grace that men are in that regard,” she says, “so I just knew that if I was thinking about it, other people must be, too.” Later, “Hostage” puts self-sabotage in the spotlight, and “Taking Over Me” (featuring Jasiah) recounts a time in Maggie’s life when anxiety would feel overwhelming. “It’s about that feeling of the next day being like, ‘Oh my God, I was so overreacting’” she says. “Now I don’t get activated quite as strongly by the anxiety, but I know everyone can relate to that feeling.”

Maggie Lindemann Biography

Doing things differently is how Maggie Lindemann operates daily, especially as she enters the era of her new HEADSPLIT EP, a pulsating and genre-defying eight-track project that follows 2021’s massively successful PARANOIA and her debut album, 2022’s SUCKERPUNCH. “I wanted to do more,” Maggie says of the goals she set in making HEADSPLIT. “I wanted to expand my sound, get out of my comfort zone, and do something different.” Though she’s playing on the same field of streaming and touring success as her peers, she’s doing it without the support of the majors, making hers a more brightly shining triumph. Writing the entirety of HEADSPLIT on her own while also running her swixxzaudio record label and her lucrative and beloved SWIXXZ clothing line, Maggie has redefined what it means to be a multi-hyphenate artist and boss in the music industry with both hands on the wheel, stepping fully into ownership and creative control of her own career.
