Curse League Biography
Curse League started in late 2014 when Kai Brunson recruited Chester Cun and Jake Campbell to play in a musical project in which shreddy guitars and technical drumming would underpin all the songs. The music that oozed forth was inspired by a melting pot of math rock and emo/punk bands such as Tera Melos; American Football; Totorro; Pirouette; Duck, Little Brother Duck!; Cattle Drums; and Algernon Cadwallader. Although initially a side-project for all the musicians involved, by spring of 2016 the band released their first EP “Bodega Disco.” They toured up and down the west coast and continued to play local shows, tour, and write new music. In 2017 the band continued to gig steadily, taking short breaks to record their sophomore effort “Laying by The Fire in Good Company” released in 2018.
