About this concert
The J-Rod Sullivan Band, featuring Saxophonist Kyle Schroeder, is debuting at the Palladium Side Door in St. Pete. Proficient, intentional, and consistent, it describes not only drummer Jerrod ‘J-Rod’ Sullivan’s approach to music but also his approach to life. Born in 1992, J-Rod discovered his love for music at the early age of two and could often be found drumming on pots and pans in his mother’s kitchen. In 2006, J-Rod uploaded his first YouTube video, and the reactions confirmed what he knew all along - his musical talent would be used as a gift to educate and inspire others. Committed to learning and advancing his skills, J-Rod enrolled in the Atlanta Institute of Music, graduating in 2012, and joined The 4 Korners band in 2013. With a growing community of over 700K+ online followers, it's evident that J-Rod’s brand has risen to match his talent.  J-Rod's highly anticipated debut album, The Comeback, was released in November 2023. This album culminates his musical journey, showcasing his growth, passion, and unique artistic vision. With captivating melodies and a distinctive jazz-fusion-inspired sound, The Comeback promises to leave a lasting impression on instrumental music listeners. Making his guest appearance on J-Rod’s Album The Comeback, is Tampa Bay local and 2024 Palladium Creative Fellowship Recipient, Kyle Schroeder. Kyle is a 26-year-old saxophonist and composer who released his debut album, Get With It, in 2022, with his follow-up project, the Remembrance EP, in September 2023. Kyle's music can be heard on Sirius XM Watercolors, Ch. 66, and Kyle can be seen touring jazz clubs nationwide!  Be sure to take advantage of this electric night of funk fusion! In addition to J-Rod and Kyle, The J-Rod Sullivan Band consists of Clarance 'T-Lee' Hill on Keys, Isaac 'Ike' Thompon on guitar, James 'JT' Thompson on Bass, and Joey Gonzalez on Percussion.  This concert is produced by Kyle Schroeder Music. Kyle and the artists, including featured artist Andy Snitzer, were AWESOME. The energetic and inspiring performance took us on an amazing musical journey. I didn't want it to end!! Great Job! Invite them again to your venue! It was like being in a New York Jazz club in FL!! I was impressed with how the artists feel the music. Most perform without sheet music in front of them, amazing! Also both Kyle and Andy compose their own songs also a treat! A great experience all around Lynn RIfe
