Maria was great and understandable even for non native English speaker.
Maybe a few jokes requires cultural background about US or about words usage in US vs UK.
Also as most standup, a lot is about personal specificity: size, Egyptian with patriarcal / religion / arranged marriage, looks Latino, moved from US to UK, distance relationship, ...
I came for Liz Miele, but I am fine with all of her friends, especially if they are "non-doctors".

Maria Shehata Biography
Maria Shehata is a multi award-winning Egyptian-American comedian based in London. Maria has been featured on Dave Channel’s Comedy Guide to Life, Comic Relief’s viral Modern Dating Horror Stories, and BBC’s Period Dramas and Breaking the News. Her writing has been featured in Modern Love in the New York Times, British Comedy Guide, Comic Relief’s Dating Long Distance, and BBC Radio 4’s Sketchtopia. Maria was shortlisted as Top Five Best New Acts at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe by The 99 Club and was named Pick of the Fringe at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe. Maria has performed at Latitude Festival, Greenbelt Festival, and was tour support for Bill Burr.
