About this concert
Daniel Ho says: "In 1994 (30 years ago), I came to Montalvo Arts Center to perform with my contemporary jazz band, Kilauea. I used to collect shaka photos with the audience, and this image is one of my favorite throwbacks from the good old days. On March 22nd, I will be performing Kilauea classics along with my current repertoire on ‘ukulele, slack key guitar, piano, and vocals. Joining me will be Randy Drake (drums), Alex Pierce (bass), and special guest Keali‘i Ceballos (vocals, hula). Come and share in this 30-year homecoming at the Montalvo Arts Center!" === “One of the most prolific and successful musicians Hawai’i has ever produced” —Ukulele Magazine Daniel Ho is a six-time Grammy Award winner, 11-time Grammy Award nominee, six-time Taiwanese Golden Melody Award winner, and recipient of multiple Hawaiian Music awards. He is a ukulele virtuoso, slack key guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, singer-songwriter, producer, audio engineer, and record company owner. His collaborations transcend genres—Hawaiian Regional Roots; World Music with Mongolian nomads; duets with classical guitarist Pepe Romero; jazz and rock with Tak Matsumoto of the Japanese supergroup, B’z…and beyond. Always on the move, Daniel is an American Cultural Ambassador, with tours completed to Japan, Thailand, Brunei, and Australia. In infinite pursuit of new musical adventures, he is also the designer of the Romero Creations Tiny Tenor ukulele, as well as Ohana Bongolele and Shakerlele. His Spalted Mango Tiny Tenor ukulele is on exhibit at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. Don’t miss this versatile performer in the intimate setting of Montalvo’s Carriage House Theatre!

I have to say I was quite impressed with the show! Music was amazing and everyone performed flawlessly! This was my first show out since 2019. I had a blast! Barclays Center is great place to see a show. Definitely will look into more performances there.
