The Fabulously Rich is a live tribute to The Tragically Hip!
The band formed in 2016 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The idea came about when the news broke that Gord Downie had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. The original idea was to reunite a group of old friends, who began their music careers playing together in high school, to present a tribute to one of the bands they all loved, and most frequently covered.

In 2016, we came together as friends to honor a musical icon and friend, Gord Downie, with a tribute concert following his cancer diagnosis. That one-time event sparked a journey that has earned us a reputation as one of the top tribute acts in the country. We take great pride in contributing to the legacy of The Hip's music, offering authentic performances while leaving the impersonations to the others.
