Michael Ivan Stewart, professionally known as Mike Stewart Theory, is an American record producer, musician, songwriter who divides his time between Austin, TX Amsterdam, NL. Mike has a band in Europe and a band in Austin. He often plays solo and since 2023 has been performing Dup shows with Austin legend Jon Dee Graham. He is also known for his associations
with the True Believers, Poi Dog Pondering, Poul Krebs, The Gourds and Calvin Russel. He co-produced two albums by The Dead Milkmen (with Brian Beattie) and has worked with Doug Sahm, The Rockingbirds, The Tail Gators, Omar & the Howlers, Wild Seeds and Glass Eye, and more.
