About this concert
JPS Productions & Tsunami Energy Drink Present: Dakota Poorman LIVE for "The Redneck Romeo" Tour at Gepetto’s! Doors: 5:00pm Show: 7:00pm From Maple Valley, WA, singer-songwriter Dakota Poorman is a breath of fresh air in the country music world, where his raw rock ‘n roll is infused with a fiery fiddle and badass banjo. When you hear Dakota Poorman, envision the vocals of Travis Tritt, the presence of Bob Seger, and the lyrics of John Mellencamp. With undeniable talent and passion, Poorman has already come a long way in the music industry and successfully climbed the country radio charts with his debut single “American Made,” which charted at #96 on release week and peaked at #68 on the Music Row Country Charts. In the Winter of 2021, Dakota inked a deal with management/artist development company JPS Productions, and they have worked hand in hand to organically grow his music, brand and image nation-wide. Shortly after that, the releases of Hippie@Heart and Best Mistake came about as well as tour's in support of both single's that took him to the states of Washington, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. Most recently, on June 23rd, 2023, he released his debut full length album "Black Sheep" supported by a SOLD OUT show in Tacoma, WA at Steel Creek with over 550 fans in attendance. The record has already reached over 150K spins across all listening platforms and continues to climb. "Black Sheep" was distributed by InGrooves, a Universal Music Group Company! This groundbreaking #grungecountry album was produced at Universal Music Group Studios in Nashville by multi platinum record producer Malcolm Springer (Collective Soul, Matchbox 20, Josey Scott of Saliva, Scotty Austin). Springer and Poorman quickly found a groove and created a record that crosses boundaries but always finds its way back home. From the heavy hitting track "American Made" and "Black Sheep" to the country ballad "Just A Girl", this album delivers unprecedented hooks, melodies and song structure that will definitely hold even the most modest country listeners ear. On Labor Day of 2023, his debut music video for the title track off his record, "Black Sheep" was released to high praise and was shot live at his album release show. The video captures his high level energy shows that is the norm anytime Poorman hits the stage. Success from that album quickly saw results as the title track, "Black Sheep", was the runner-up for Song of the Year at the Northwest CMA's. During the event, at the historical Bing Crosby Theater, he was also nominated for Artist of the Year and Music Video of the Year as well as being asked to perform during the event! Dakota is a brand ambassador for Tsunami Energy Drink and PickleJar and both him and these companies have developed a "family style" relationship His journey includes opening for Parmalee, the Marshall Tucker Band, Dustin Lynch, and many other talented artists. His songs play on Seattle’s country music station 100.7, and he sang at The Wolf Pre-Party for Kenny Chesney. This up-and-coming artist was recognized as the 2019 Independent Music Award "Male Artist of the Year" by USO Northwest. Dakota continues to rise up the country ladder and reach more fans with his high energy shows and "no holds barred" attitude and delivery....stay tuned for what's next.
