First heavily influenced by blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan, Travis turned to fingerstyle after a high school teacher suggested he learn "Little Martha" by Duane Allman. From there he found the music of Leo Kottke, Michael Hedges, Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour, Stephen Bennett, and Masa Sumide. Travis has won noteriety in national and international guitar competitions such as the Ernie Ball Acoustic Prodigy Competition in 2014, and the Arkansas State Fingerpicking Competition in 2017. Travis placed 1st in the International Fingerpicking Competition at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. In 2015 Travis' EP "Superhero" was recorded at NRG Studios and was produced by viral YouTube sensation Andy McKee. His debut album "Launch" (2016) was recorded at FretMonkey Records studios. Travis has toured the world as a solo act, and has shared the stage with renowned guitarists such as Andy McKee, Kaki King, Don Ross, Muriel Anderson, Tom Shinness, Stephen Bennett, Antoine Dufour, Adrian Bellue, and Alexandr Misko.
