Citizens of the Universe is a 9 piece funk band who’s style draws heavily on HipHop, afrobeat and P-Funk. focused on keeping the dance floor shaking for hours these well experienced musicians flex seemlessly between 70’s deep funk, dirty Fela grooves and bangin original compositions. The drummers a Vinyl DJ, the singer’s an MC and The groups vast musical influences have earned them the praise of sounding “like a great mix tape where each song tops the next without a pause flipping from side A to side B.”

Based in Corvallis Oregon, the CITIZENS have been making music together in different formations for over a decade. The years of making records, packing the local bars, and touring the west coast from LA to Seattle have formed a palpable connection among the crew. These guys have put in the work and it shows on stage.
