The secret of the Labra Brothers entertainment appeal and confident energetic performances is rooted in their solid multi-instrumental musicianship strength. But their creative and modern blend of groove-style harmonies with R&B and Funk/Soul comes from their own unique intergenerational heritage of Latin troubadours via the steel town cultural mecca of their Youngstown, Ohio hometown. The Labra Brothers multi-genre mastery and cross-generational fans takes this band from country clubs to casinos, and from nightspots to weddings to festivals. Ames Harding & the Mirage is a 4-piece band whose unique blend of world-influenced indie is as catchy as it is nuanced. The project was started in 2021 by songwriter & producer Ames Harding, who grew up in Egypt, India, and Latin America, and combines psychedelica, folk, and world music. The band is made up of Eli Weidman on drums, Mike Saunders on bass, and AJ Arnett on percussion. Their genre-bending songs, built on rich sonic landscapes, surreal lyricism, and percussion, will truly take you on a trip. Alt-tropical vibes; that describe Cumbia Heights only in part. Chaotic and danceable, psychodelic, and wildly entertaining have been used to describe their music and work. Cumbia Heights has been working the DC music scene since 2020. Their recent single, Tumbado, is a reflection of the many influences that make up Cumbia Heights.
