Slow Pilot Biography

Slow Pilot takes flight once again with the upcoming launch of their second album 'Falling Off The Earth'. A huge two-year effort that was accomplished with the help of, amongst others, Fleet Foxes' frontman Robin Pecknold, British songwriter C Duncan and the band members of Slow Pilot, a set of unique and authentic musicians who made their mark in several main-acts (Hooverphonic, Marc Ribot, Portland, Delv!s, Admiral Freebee).
Together with Luuk Cox, known for his production work for the likes of Stromae, Loïc Nottet, Arsenal, Girls in Hawaii and many others, the band dug deep into the process of designing the perfect sound for each of the songs. Balancing between attenuated electronica, tape recorded guitars, and monumental harmonies, they found the sweet spot to make the music flourish, while still leaving enough space for Pieter Peirsman's vocals that draw the listener into his melancholic yet uplifting universe.
Some other songs were born during a revealing writing session with Fleet Foxes' brilliant songwriter Robin Pecknold, who recently outed himself as a fan of Slow Pilot too.
A special shout-out to multiple Mercury Prize nominated Scottish singer-songwriter C Duncan, who lent his silky smooth voice to the song 'No Man Is An Island'.
With 'Falling Off The Earth', Slow Pilot is soaring new heights, taking the listener on a journey where introspection meets exuberance, where atmospheric arrangements and a meticulous attention to detail sets them apart in the indie rock scene.
