M.D. Pallavi

MD Pallavi from Bangalore, South-India visits the German producer and performer Andi Otto for a Europe tour in March 2024. They will present their latest album “Songs For Broken Ships”. Their collaboration dates back to 2016 when they released their first collaborative track “Bangalore Whispers” and toured Japan in 2017. The duo will present semi-improvised live versions of MD Pallavi’s songs in her mother tongue Kannada, a South-Indian language spoken in the state of Karnataka. Andi plays the cello with his self-developed sensor-bow “Fello” as well as electronic instruments. The show stretches between free raga improvisations and downtempo beats and unfolds in live dubs of their studio material.
