SATSUKI Biography

SATSUKI is an electronic/rock/pop artist originating from Sydney, Australia and residing in Osaka, Japan.

Their thoughtful lyrics are matched with colourful and moody soundscapes to create a nostalgic heartache that we all resonate with in some way.

After their initial band activity, SATSUKI released their first single “Afterglow” as a solo artist after a year and a half of writer’s block; a moody, crying-in-the-club electro bop.

“miss u” is their new single produced by Taka Perry, a hyper-pop track about a long distance relationship. With SATSUKI bringing a bilingual element to their incredibly honest and yearning songwriting, paired with Taka’s larger-than-life production, ‘miss u’ will tug on your heartstrings while you head bang.

In 2018, SATSUKI moved from Sydney, Australia to Osaka, Japan to continue their music career and has since performed at one of Taiwan"s biggest music festivals “Megaport Festival” as well as various venues and events across Japan. They were awarded a busking license through the “MUSIC BUSKER IN UMEKITA” project supported by Osaka radio station “FM802” and department store “Grand Front Osaka” which allows them to legally busk outside the Grand Front Osaka area.

Their journey is something to be watched carefully, as it changes in a chameleon like manner from project to project.
