De son vrai nom Nassim Dendane, guitariste, chanteur, auteur-compositeur, Dendana se fait découvrir sur les ondes des radios algériennes à travers son style distinctif de musique arabo-andalouse mêlée à la chanson française. En 2010, il quitte son pays pour poursuivre sa carrière en France. Il y compose et produit 3 albums. Tant sur ses albums qu’en live il partage et côtoie Ben l’Oncle Soul, Gnawa Diffusion, Charlotte Savary (Wax Tailor), Kassav’, Cheikh Sidi Bemol, L’ONB...
Il compose de subtils mélanges, dosant à merveille la chanson, la folk, le reggae et le gnawa. Sa personnalité solaire, sa présence scénique chaleureuse et son ouverture captent le public, ses performances live transportent et frôlent la transe. Du nord au sud, Dendana modernise la tradition.

DENDANA Biography
Nassim Dendane aka DENDANA, is an
algerian singer-songwriter born in 1988.
In 2009, he was discovered by algerian
radio stations with his « Tribute to Bob
Marley”, and flew to France after being
nominated “Algerian Male Revelation” in
2011, to further expand his musical career.
His first album as a songwriter, “DenDana
Project”, was released in 2013 and he
uplifted the audiences as he performed
solo opening for world music bands such
as Cheikh Sidi Bémol, Gnawa Diffusion, the
Orchestre National de Barbès, and Kasav’.
In 2016, his second album “Melody”,
confirmed his one-of-a-kind powerful solo act, bringing together Western and
North African music, to the sole rhythm of his guitar. This album expanded his
following in the French songwriter jazz scene, through intense and transe like solo
concerts.
His encounters with the French scene is featured in his 2020 album « Je n’ai pas
les mots ». He invites Ben l’Oncle Soul and Charlotte Savary (Wax Tailor singer),
covers Reggiani and Maxime Leforestier, with touches of jazz and desert gnawa
rhythms.
In 2023 he releases his 3rd studio album « Chadi Madi », and plays with his band
at the « Institut du Monde arabe ». Bending towards blues and rock, he sings
uplifting songs of resistance, nostalgia and love in « DARIJA », the algerian dialect.
Still gathering crowds eager to experience his performances, he can make an
audience dream, sing and dance throughout the night, gaining his first international
exposure.
