John Pemberton Music Biography

While Country music has evolved over the years, traditional Country music still holds a place in the hearts and minds of true Country music fans. John Pemberton has stayed true to his traditional Country roots and his beautiful voice and rich tones never fail to deliver.
Coming from a musical family, John began learning to play his father’s guitar when he was three years old and he hasn’t put it down since. John was an only child and very shy in his early years and he would refer to music as his best friend. He sang his first country song at age five and he quickly learned that music was an avenue to making other friends. As his popularity began to grow, John played his music in church and at school talent shows. At the age of twelve his family formed a band called “Southern Sound” and they toured and played music together for many years.
When John was nineteen he felt a calling on his life and he walked away from country for a ministry in worship music. He recorded his first gospel album in Nashville in 1992, and then went on to record a second album. He would tour the country singing Gospel music until 2015, when he realized he was being called back to country music. John knew there were people he could reach with country music that he might not otherwise reach so he returned and never looked back. John has recorded many songs, both gospel and country and his single “That Was Then” topped the International Hot Country Music Chart in 2014. He was also voted male vocalist of the year at CCR Radio the same year. More recently, in Nashville, he recorded the single, “When You Love Someone” which will be released on January 27, 2023.
John has opened for many other artists, most recently, Easton Corbin, Jackson Dean and Caitlin Smith. He was voted the fan favorite at the Big Fresno Fair two years in a row and he was the first artist invited to sing at the new Table Mountain Casino in Friant, California. Country music is what makes John happy and he is most comfortable when he’s on stage. At a time when there is so much controversy in the world John likes the impact music has on people and he believes that his music is “Changing Lives One Song at a Time”. John Pemberton will continue to bring joy to all that know him through his music and we can expect big things from him in the coming years.
