Greg Wyard Biography
Greg Wyard is a mainstay in the Toronto music scene, seamlessly blending his talents as a singer, songwriter, guitarist, bassist, and loop pedal artist.
Known equally as a live performer and a social media creator for his solo renditions of classic covers like “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Sultans of Swing,” Greg also shines as a singer/songwriter with self-released studio albums “The First” (1998), “Something I Made Up” (2001), and “Encore” (2014) earning critical acclaim.
During the pandemic, Greg took time to recharge and learn how to bypass costly studio costs by recording in his home studio. In 2023, he emerged with the standout track “Healing Melody,” a long-distance collaboration with Eirik Wangberg, known for his work with Paul McCartney. A stream of singles has continued, and his latest creation, “People Don't Change” is a song he considers one of his best. Melding introspective lyrics with the exotic sounds of the sitar, the song explores the unchanging essence of humanity amidst constant change.
Greg’s music blends McCartneyesque melodies with Neil Finn-like lyrics, writing songs with substance and harmonic sophistication. 2024 is stacking up to be one of his most prolific years to date.
