The group's music focuses on renewing traditional Puertorican melodies through the harmonic and rhythmic pallet of jazz, inserting improvisation as a mechanism to push the music to new heights while maintaining the sense of tradition and ethnicity throughout the melodic and rhythmic layouts that our folklore provides.

Richard Peña Biography
Puerto Rican guitarist Richard Peña intricately blends the traditional sounds of Latin music, and the modern colors of post-bop/fusion jazz through the soothing warm sound of his guitar. The 27-year-old has been recognized as a Youth Jazz Ambassador (2015), has recorded 4 albums, and has performed with players ranging from Latin Grammy Award Winners such as Miguel Zenón, Horacio El Negro Hernandez, and Charlie Sepulveda, to Latin singers Carlos Vives, Víctor Manuelle.
Richard creates jazz guitar educational content across platforms to an audience of over 200k followers and has a community of over 1,500 students on Patreon.
