Drying Weather Biography
Formed in late 2019, Drying Weather is a four-piece band from Dublin.
Frank plays electric guitar, Conor plays drums, and Barry and Dónal both sing and swap between acoustic guitar and bass. In March 2023 band appeared live on East Coast FM to premiere new single Railwayman, ultimately being chosen to represent the station in Hot Press/IBI's Irish Music Month.
Over the course of the last few years they have been working with producer Eoin Whitfield (EHCO, Enemies) and released a series of singles, drawing praise from the likes of Kellii Scott (Failure) and Jordon Zadorozny (Blinker the Star). Their original, fuzzy acoustic brand of alternative rock layered with vocal harmony and twinkling reverb adds up to a curiously addictive sound.
With post-pandemic shows in Berlin and London, plus a recent spot at Whelan’s Ones to Watch Festival 2023, the band continues to hone their craft on the live circuit at home and abroad. The recording of debut album A Family Meal is well underway with the LP expected to arrive in 2023.
