About this concert
It is always special when Chris Stalcup comes to the farm. Chris will be playing as duo with this long time friend and bandmate Nathan Greene on accordian. Chris will be co-headlining this show with Matt Woods. Musicians often promote each others music by wearing their friends t-shirts. Both Justin Wells and Adam Lee played their show here wearing a Matt Woods shirt. The subliminal seed was planted. We had a chance to see Matt perform last year and are excited for his Pono Acres debut.

Outdoor venue on a perfect southern spring evening. Matt is a masterful musician and storyteller - setlist included, of course, Fireflies, but he finished out with new, unrecorded material - something to look forward to.

Matt Woods Biography
Matt Woods is a product of Appalachia. You can hear his East Tennessee roots tangled in the lines of his songs and it is through this filter he distills the world, both external and internal, into his unique brand of songwriting. You can call it Americana, folk rock, even country music but no matter what it’s called it is, at it core, honest and heartfelt. Spending most of his time on the road, either engaging listeners as a solo artist or enrapturing them with his band, Matt Woods and the Natural Disasters, he would say, if asked, that he is “just trying to share some truth and get along.”
“Like Jason Isbell, another son of the South who bears a tenacious tone, Woods is in the vanguard of country music’s feisty new generation.” -No Depression
