On Sunday, April 14th at 2 p.m., the Driver Opera House is delighted to present an evening of extraordinary musical talent, featuring a co-headlining performance by Diana Ladio, alongside trio Brendan Forrest, Ben Zorn, and Sean Carolan, at the Leona M. Havens Theatre. Diana Ladio, a distinguished Nashville-based musician renowned for her virtuosity as a violinist, composer, and educator, will take center stage. Her extensive experience includes being a prominent member of the electric strings ensemble, The Moxie Strings, with whom she has toured for over 16 years, earning the ensemble a coveted Billboard #1 in the Classical Crossover category. Sharing the spotlight with Diana Ladio, the trio of Brendan Forrest, Ben Zorn, and Sean Carolan, distinguished musicians deeply rooted in Chicago's rich musical heritage, will captivate the audience with their seamless fusion of bluegrass, folk, and Americana. Sean Carolan, with his seasoned expertise as a bassist and multi-instrumentalist, brings a wealth of experience from performances across North and South America and Europe, including his notable tenure as a founding member of the acclaimed Chicago jam-band Mungion. Ben Zorn, celebrated for his versatile mastery as a multi-instrumentalist, showcases his intricate folk harmonies, while Brendan Forrest, an award-winning singer-songwriter and composer, adds his distinctive blend of contemporary and folk styles to the trio's performance. Opening the evening will be the esteemed quartet comprising Joe Dorman, Jeff Kluesner, Jim Jacobson, and Steve Fitzsimons, offering a captivating repertoire of Gaelic and contemporary tunes.
