Mick Cruz

Mick Cruz is a Country singer-songwriter and producer whose musical style is a cross between traditional Country Music and a touch of rock and roll. Mick was born and raised in a small town deep in south Texas. Mick’s musical journey began at age 12 in Laredo, Texas, when his mother a singer of Christian Music inspired him to learn how to sing. “I just watched my mother, and it made me think and want to learn how to sing one day”. As I got older, I began to teach myself how to play guitar on my brother's guitar. “My brother Bo was always playing the guitar in our room singing songs like George Straits “The Chair” and “Cowboy Rides Away”!! So, whenever I could I began singing and playing all the songs he learned and little by little my singing and playing improved. Those were some really fun times back then. A year or so later, a friend and I started a small band singing rock-n-roll with some friends from school. We played wherever we could and to anybody who would listen to us.”
