"If You Only Toured" is Darker Half's send off to the "If You Only Knew" album. With a new studio album just around the corner and following the release of the live album "If You Only...Live" the band wanted to give Australia a chance to see the show they've taken to Europe twice since the release of "If You only Knew" in 2020. Packed with fan favourites from the album, some deep cuts from previous releases and maybe a sprinkling of something new, "If You Only Toured" is Australia's first and last chance to see some of these songs performed before the band unveil their next chapter. Darker Half Biography
Darker Half is a melodic metal band from Sydney Australia.
Their sound is rooted in traditional metal, drawing on only the heaviest most face melting forms of steel. Twisted dual guitars and explosive solos are laid across a rock solid yet inventive rhythm section, topped off by a vocalist whose range can match any of rock’s greats, making this a band who can really set themselves apart.
They have released three albums in Australia — Duality (2009), Desensitized (2011) and Never Surrender (2014). In 2016 Never Surrender was released in Europe and was quickly followed by their new EP Classified. in 2020 "If You Only Knew" was released on Massacre Records in Europe.
They have shared a stage with some of Metal’s finest acts including Rage, Geoff Tate, Queensryche, Edguy, Sonata Arctica, Dark Funeral, Children of Bodum, Nightwish, Accept, Helloween, Stratovarius and more.
Singer/Guitarist Vo worked with Stu Marshall (Death Dealer) on his Empires Of Eden project contributing vocals on two songs and a guest guitar solo. Metal icons that feature on the album include Udo Dirkshneider, Rob Rock, Ronnie Monroe, Sean Peck and Ross the Boss.
Members of Darker Half have played in the touring bands of Tim 'Ripper' Owens, Paul Di’anno and Blaze Bayley.
Through all this Darker Half have established themselves as one of Australia’s premier metal acts, drawing together multiple influences to create a unique sound all their own.
They have performed throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA. Wherever they have ventured, they have won new fans and received glowing reviews.
