The Stream Biography

The Stream is an orchestral pop band formed by Jan Stroomer. Their recent project combines music and science and it's called "Nature Calls". The music is inspired by physical formulas and the live show contains live experiments with liquid nitrogen and flaming body parts.

The Stream has been producing albums since 2010. Each album has its own unique storyline underneath the songs. The range of styles of those songs is quite divers, but they share the same arrangements, compositions and of course the playing style of the band. Being a Dutch band, most of the liveshows take place in the Netherlands. But occasionally The Stream performs abroad.

The Stream has a long list of influences. 70's artists like Queen, but also more recent ones like Ben Folds and The Divine Comedy. Mostly artists whose music contains a focus on the piano and the appreciation of the classic popsong.
