About this concert
UB40 Red Red Wine Tour
WITH SPECIAL GUESTS INNER CIRCLE AND MAXI PRIEST
FRIDAY, JULY 19 | 7:00 PM
UB40’s long-awaited 21st studio album, UB45, has just been released. A 14-track album that features brand new songs including the singles “Gimme Some Kinda Sign” and “Home,” plus re-recordings of some of the band’s most beloved hits. With seven new UB40 recordings, including the lead single, “Gimme Some Kinda Sign,” a cover of Brenton Wood’s 1967 track “Gimme Little Sign,” the group added a special UB40 flavor to the legendary soul classic. It was chosen by Matt Doyle who brought it to Robin Campbell, unaware that the song had been on the guitarist and vocalist’s wish list since the Labour Of Love (1983) days.
UB40 delivers from the band what they do best, with songs that fearlessly address societal hot-button issues and take a firm stand against the injustices of the world. This is apparent from the opening track “Home,” complete with trademark UB40 beats and the powerful themes of inequality and bigotry. Other new recordings include a beautiful rendition of Bill Withers’ “Hope She’ll Be Happier” (1971), “Trouble,” “Say Nothing,” “Fool Me Once,” and the single “Champion,” which was the official anthem of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

It was a treat to see Inner Circle take the time for a quick West MI visit. They are powerhouses.
"One Way" one of my favorites
Also enjoyed Zion Lion .
Venue and food good.
My family was disappointed that

Inner Circle Biography
Inner Circle, also known as The Inner Circle Band or The Bad Boys of Reggae, are a Jamaican reggae band formed in Kingston in 1968. The band first backed The Chosen Few in the early 1970s before joining with successful solo artist Jacob Miller and releasing a string of records. This era of the band ended with Miller’s death in a car crash in 1980.
The group reformed in 1986. During this period, they released several international hit singles, including “Sweat (A La La La La Long)” and “Bad Boys,” the theme from the American television show Cops. The group continued to record and tour thereafter.
Brothers Ian and Roger Lewis have remained the group’s consistent members, playing bass and guitar, respectively. Other long-term members include keyboardist Bernard “Touter” Harvey, a member since 1973, and drummer Lancelot Hall, who joined during their 1986 reformation. The band’s lineup is completed by singer Trevor “Skatta” Bonnick and lead guitarist Benji.
