On a fine spring day in 2013, Ben Forbeck met Tony De Luca, in the wooded hills near their hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. From that moment onward, through the years and across the country, Ben and Tony have been playing, performing, and composing music together.

The music of Half Step Ahead spans many diverse genres, always embracing new sides of sound. With each performance, the band intently focuses on group improvisation to continually reinvent their songs and sound on a nightly basis. The end result is an action-packed show full of fun and unpredictable twists and turns with something for everyone!

Half Step Ahead has been and will continue to be on a mission and a journey to fill lives with groove.
